My heart was pounding, my 'baby' is going to be exposed to the world; excitement was mounting. I've been in labor for months, waiting for this moment.
10 a.m. the doors opened, people walked in, the energy shifted and there were smiles everywhere.
The craft show in Camp Verde Arizona is a yearly event. This was the first time I had a 'table' where
my wares would be shown. Over 7000 smiles cards had been shared in the three and half years since the first one that was gifted. Now that the design was on shopping/market/veggie bags, the expansion of energy was greater.
I love it.
Melanie and I set up our space, displaying Our Smile Club bags, along with our mission statement.
Ever Ever Land Where Dreams Are Realized.
EEL (Ever Ever Land) is our dream to have a Safe Haven for young indivduals who find themselves lost, struggling with self worth and are desperate to find purpose and meaning to live a life worth living.
Our mission is to provide a safe haven of inspiration, education, and Love as we encourage the blossoming of youths to discover their true selves, to heal, to find community, and to live a life of purpose. Given sufficient time for their individual growth, our goal is to assist them discover their passion, encourage and support that passion while preparing them to confidently move into their own unique place in the world. Understanding the strength of spirit, we step into this journey with the idea that "if we build it, they will come."
The event was a great success. We met people who I hadn't known and shared Smiles with all who came to see what 'this' was all about. Hugs filled each of us to the brim.
My soul is most filled when I'm being of service, people find it easy to speak with me and they tell me their life story. I'm blessed to be a wonderful listener.
